Winter is approaching fast, so now is the best time to consider sprucing up your home for the new season. Here are our top interior design trends for this winter!

Wood

Wood provides warmth, both as an aesthetic and an insulator. Wooden panels and flooring makes the best impact, but for a simple solution consider a rustic wood side table, or a wooden art piece to hang on the wall; something as simple as a basket with cut fire logs can create a homely, rustic atmosphere.

Soft textiles

Soft accessories are a major winter interior trend. Items such as cotton quilts, flannel sheets and knitted accessories help achieve a feeling of warmth and comfort this winter.

Dark blues

Seek darker, richer shades of blue this winter, like midnight blue, ink, royal blue and indigo. Although it’s considered a cooler colour, it provides a sophisticated vibe that mixes well with wooden features. Look to also mix it with Christmas decorations this festive season.

Tradition

There’s a feeling of nostalgia often associated with winter family gatherings and celebrations, which means there will always be a need for the familiar. Think heavy curtains, embroidered accent pillows, and soft rocking chairs.
